The Farm

Our flower farm actually started with the restoration of a historic 1880's farmhouse near Princeton, NJ. My husband's English friends always laugh about our white picket fence - the American dream! This perfect-for-us property came with an extra acre of grass but it never felt right. I envisioned a flower farm. We started with 5 raised beds surrounded by a perennial border and after 3 months we broke ground on the expansion that we now call the field. Two seasons in and we've expanded for the 3rd time with 65 peonies and 75 feet of dahlia beds. I think Rob is glad we have run out of space!

Our specialty flowers start as seeds, corms, bulbs and tubers from small flower farms all over the country. Everyone deserves incredible flowers and we want to make them available. With stunning flower jar arrangements starting at $20 and fresh cut for the stand daily, you'll never have to run to the grocery to grab boring flowers. Stop by The Flower Broad or contact us for special events or preordered arrangements!

And when you see me in the field, please say hi!

xx,

The Flower Broad aka Katie

Our Future Home

The journey starts with a massive restoration of the main house including the existing cottage garden and patio.

The First Stand

We moved in and got to work on the cottage garden. Memorial Day marked our first stand - and our first sale! I was hooked and the farm only grew from there.

The Expansion

Thousands of flowers went to beautiful homes but the demand grew and we needed to do the same. We designed a greenhouse to match the house and added loads of new flower beds which brought us gorgeous spring blooms!

The Growth Continues

While renovating our 2,000 sq ft barn into our own tavern, gym and additional living space, we also sold nearly every stem we grew. Once again we decided to expand! 65 peonies and 75 feet of dahlia beds were added and we've finally maxed out our growing space - much to Rob's happiness!

The Future

The garden has been planted for 2026 spring blooms and we're all settled in to our new home and life in Hopewell... but we're never done. It's time to renovate the potting shed and then the flower stand! We hope you'll stop by and say hi next time you're in town!
